Ridley Scott’s next eyes its supporting cast…
The awesome Jeff Daniels (‘The Newsroom’), Mackenzie Davis (‘Halt and Catch Fire’), and ‘Community’ star Donald Glover have scored supporting roles in Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi, ‘The Martian.’
Based on Andy Weir’s 2012 e-book, the film stars Matt Damon as an astronaut who becomes stranded on Mars and must figure out how to survive long enough to return to Earth. Meanwhile, on Earth, NASA tries to mount the rescue mission to get him home.
Daniels, who will next be seen starring in the comedy sequel ‘Dumb and Dumber To,’ would play the director of NASA who is dealing with this crisis. Heat Vision has Davis and Glover playing astronauts.
As previously reported, the ensemble cast also includes Jessica Chastain (‘Interstellar’), Kristen Wiig (‘The Skeleton Twins’), ‘House of Cards’ star Kate Mara, and Michael Peña (‘Fury’).
