The Tenacious D front-man is going to rip Irish literature apart at the seams
Jack Black has signed on to star in a modern adaptation of Irish man, Jonathan Swift’s classic tale ‘Gulliver’s Travels’.
Black will play Lemuel Gulliver, the adventurous travel writer who ends up washed up on the island of Lilliput, inhabited by tiny people.
“Shark Tale” helmer Rob Letterman will direct, while Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Joe Stillman (Shrek) are scripting.
The project will begin shooting in March and is expected to feature a mixture of live-action and computer animation.
