Alan Turning biopic eyes director.
‘The Disappearance of Alice Creed’ director J. Blakeson is in negotiations to helm the 2011 Black List script ‘The Imitation Game,’ reports Variety.
Based on Andrew Hodges’ book ‘Alan Turing: The Enigma,’ the Graham Moore-scripted film is the life story of the English mathematician and scientist, who was instrumental in the cracking of the German U-boat Enigma cipher in World War II.
When the drama was first announced producers were looking to cast Leonardo DiCaprio as Turing. Now with the star committing to the Martin Scorsese drama ‘The Wolf of Wall Street,’ it’s unclear if he will be able to take the Turning biopic.
