Gilliams Quixote Collapses

Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote hits financial troubles…

Work on Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote has reportedly collapsed .

Gilliam admitted that he is now looking financing for the long-delayed project, although stars Robert Duvall and Ewan McGregor are still attached.

“The financing collapsed about a month and a half ago,” the director said at the Deauville American Film Festival. “I shouldn’t be here. The plan was to be shooting Quixote right now.”

He continued: “Robert Duvall is Quixote, Ewan McGregor is also there, and we are looking for new financing right now.”

The movie follows an advertising executive who moves back and forth in time between the 21st and 17th century, where he is mistaken for Sancho Panza by Don Quixote.
