Star in talks for comedy sequel/reboot.
Ed Helms (‘Jeff, Who Lives at Home,’ ‘The Hangover,’ ‘The Office’) is reportedly in negotiations to take the lead in the upcoming sequel/reboot of hit 80s comedy ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation.’
Helms would play Rusty Griswold, the son of Clark Griswold, with the new film following Rusty’s experiences and misadventures with his own family as he takes them on a road trip.
‘Horrible Bosses’ screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are attached to make their directorial debut with the film from a script they penned.
According to Variety, the film would begin lensing next spring after Helms finishes production on ‘The Hangover 3’ and wraps up on ‘The Office.’
