Two more board disaster feature…
Carla Gugino (‘Sucker Punch,’ ‘Watchmen,’ ‘Sin City’) and Alexandra Daddario (‘True Detective,’ ‘Percy Jackson,’ ‘Texas Chainsaw 3D’) have landed the female leads in the Dwayne Johnson toplined disaster drama ‘San Andreas.’
The film is set in the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California and follows a rescue-chopper pilot (Johnson) who makes a dangerous journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco in order to rescue his daughter (Daddario).
Gugino, who previously worked with Johnson on ‘Faster’ and ‘Race to Witch Mountain,’ will play his ex-wife.
Brad Peyton (‘Incarnate,’ ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’) is behind the camera, with the most recent draft of the script coming from Chad and Carey Hayes (‘The Conjuring,’ ‘The Reaping’).
Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn are on board as producers with Michael Disco, Sam Brown and Richard Brener overseeing for New Line.
