University-set passion project may be next project…
Multiple outlets are reporting that ‘Boyhood’ writer/director Richard Linklater has stepped away from Warner Bros’ remake of the 1964 classic ‘The Incredible Mr. Limpet,’ with plans to concentrate on his 1980s college-set film ‘That’s What I’m Talking About.’
A passion project of the filmmaker, ‘That’s What I’m Talking About’ is a quasi-sequel to his 1993 film ‘Dazed and Confused’ and follows “a group of freshmen as they navigate through the first year of college life, while trying to make the baseball team.”
Linklater came on board the remake of ‘The Incredible Mr. Limpet’ back in 2011. According to TheWrap, the suits over at Warner Bros. are out to directors to replace Linklater.
