Trio join Clooney and Brolin for 1950s-set comedy…
Channing Tatum (‘Foxcatcher,’ Jupiter Ascending”), and ‘ The Grand Budapest Hotel’ co-stars Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton have reportedly entered into talks to join the cast of ‘Hail, Caesar!,’ the next directorial effort from Joel and Ethan Cohen.
With George Clooney and Josh Brolin already attached, the Hollywood-set period comedy follows Eddie Mannix, a Hollywood fixer working to keep a studio’s stars in line.
According to the folks over at THR, ’22 Jump Street’ star Tatum would be playing a Gene Kelly-type star, while Fiennes would play Laurence Lorenz, a studio director. Swinton is believed to be eyeing the role of a powerful Hollywood gossip columnist.
Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan of Working Title Films are on board to produce the film alongside the Coens, who are producing under their Mike Zoss Productions banner.
