Talented Irish filmmaker to direct horror sequel…
It has been announced that Dublin native Ciarán Foy, who made his feature debut with the 2012 Irish/Scottish psychological horror ‘Citadel,’ has been tapped to take the reins of Blumhouse Productions and Entertainment One’s ‘Sinister’ sequel.
Directed by Scott Derrickson, the micro-budget original starred Ethan Hawke as Ellison Oswalt, a true crime novelist who discovers a box of mysterious, disturbing home movies that plunge his family into a nightmarish experience of supernatural horror.
Production on the sequel kicks off in July, with Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill providing the script. Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Charles Layton, and Xavier Marchand and Patrice Théroux of eOne will executive produce.
