Marc Forster no longer set to direct…
Chris Pratt of ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ and the upcoming ‘Jurassic World’ has reportedly been tapped to take the lead in Universal’s comic book actioner ‘Cowboy Ninja Viking.’
The awesomely titled film revolves around Duncan, the product of a shadowy government program that makes highly skilled assassins out of people with Multiple Personality Disorder. These agents become known as Triplets (referring to the three different personalities inside their minds). Duncan, who possesses the deadly identities of a Cowboy, a Ninja, and a Viking, escapes the program and sets about hunting down the billionaire who masterminded it.
In development for a number of years now, the film’s script comes from Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (‘Zombieland’), and at one point had ‘World War Z’ helmer Marc Forster attached to direct.
Collider, who broke the news of Pratt’s involvement, hears that the latest draft of the script features the Cowboy, the Ninja, and the Viking physically manifesting onscreen.
