Irish cinemas prepare for a new 15s rated Bruno
With Bruno scoring the highest ever opening weekend gross for an 18-certified comedy, Universal Pictures is taking the unprecedented step of releasing a tamer, 15-rated version of the movie.
Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy opened at number one in the UK and Ireland over the weekend but cinemas have apparently reported turning away large numbers of teens eager to see the film.
“Due to the overwhelming demand by fans who are desperate to see the film, we’re really pleased to be able to offer a ’15’ certificate version” explained Universal Pictures International president David Kosse. “
THE new, tamer version of Bruno will hit screens in the UK and Ireland on July 24th.
