Sacho Baron Cohen’s Bruno confirmed for May 2009.
The full title and release date for Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno film have finally been confirmed.
The film, titled ‘Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt’, will land in Irish cinemas on May 19th, 2009. This means the film will face competition from Da Vinci Code prequel ‘Angels & Demons’.
Based on a character from Cohen’s Da Ali G Show, Bruno revolves around a camp Austrian TV presenter who provokes unwitting members of the fashion industry into making ill-advised statements.
‘Borat’ proved a commercial success for Cohen on its 2006 release, grossing $260
million at the worldwide box office.
EXTRAs: Ben Affleck and Arnold Schwarzenegger are rumoured to feature in the Bruno film.
