‘American Sniper’ star eyes human slavery thriller…
Bradley Cooper (‘American Sniper,’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’) is reportedly near to closing a deal to produce and star in a feature adaptation of author and comic book writer Gregg Hurwitz’s upcoming novel ‘Orphan X.’
The book, expected on bookshelves next year, is described by THR as a thriller centred on “a man named Evan Smoak. He’s called a “Nowhere Man,” and he helps others, sometimes through violent means. A job draws him into a world of human slavery, engineered by a detective of the Los Angeles Police Department.”
Cooper would be producing the thriller alongside Todd Phillips through their untitled Warners-based producing banner.
