James Bond’s famous catchphrases dropped from ‘Quantum Of Solace’
The director of Quantum Of Solace has dropped some of James Bond’s most famous catchphrases as part of a move to bring the secret agent into the 21st Century.
In his 22nd screen adventure, the operative will not make his classic introduction “The name is Bond, James Bond”. Nor will he order his martinis, shaken not stirred.
Director Marc Forster told reporters: “There was a ‘Bond, James Bond’ in the script. There are several places where we shot it as well, but it never worked as we hoped.”
“I just felt we should cut it out, and Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson (the film’s producers) agreed, and Daniel [Craig], agreed too. It’s nice to be open-minded about the Bond formula. You can always go back to them later on.”
