Two will team for high-concept comedy…
Barry Sonnenfeld (‘Men in Black,’ ‘Get Shorty,’ ‘The Addams Family’) has signed on to direct Kevin Spacey (‘House of Cards,’ ‘The Usual Suspects’) in ‘Nine Lives,’ says TheWrap.
Scripted by Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin, the film follows “a workaholic businessman (Spacey) who suffers a terrible accident that leaves him trapped in the body of the family cat.”
The high-concept comedy is set up over at Luc Besson and Christophe Lambert’s France-based production banner EuropaCorp. Lisa Ellzey, president of EuropaCorp U.S., is heading up development.
“I’m very excited to be working with Christophe, Lisa, Luc and the rest of the EuropaCorp team on this funny, emotional, commercial comedy,” said Sonnenfeld in a statement, “Perhaps I’ll also get over my severe allergy and dislike of cats.”
