Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot undergoes last minute casting change.
Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer (‘Angels & Demons,’ ‘Munich’) is replacing Julia Ormond in the role of Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s Kryptonian mother, in ‘Man of Steel.’
Details as to why Zack Snyder made the last-minute change are unknown but Deadline did confirm that Zurer is set to start filming scenes with Russell Crowe as Superman’s father Jor-El later this week.
‘Man of Steel’ stars Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora, and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Superman’s Earthbound parents Jonathan and Martha Kent.
