Kim Basinger and Kevin Hart to also enter the ring.
‘Argo’ star Alan Arkin is reportedly in talks to join Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro in Peter Segal’s boxing ‘Grudge Match.’
Based on a screenplay by Tim Kelleher and featuring a polish from ‘Entourage’ creator Doug Ellin, the comedy centres on Billy “The Kid” McGuigan and Henry “Razor” Sharp, two boxers, who, 50 years after their last fight, are coaxed out of retirement for one final match.
According to Variety, Arkin is eyeing the role of “Lightning” Louis Epstein, Razor’s former trainer who despite a medical condition, agrees to resume his post after Razor rescues him from a nursing home.
Kim Basinger (‘Third Person,’ ‘Charlie St. Cloud’) is attached to play the female lead, with actor and comedian Kevin Hart (‘The End of the World,’ ‘Think Like a Man’) also on board for a supporting role as a fight promoter.
