‘Fury’ star in talks for Jolie’s next…
TheWrap has word that Brad Pitt (‘Fury,’ ’12 Years a Slave’) is eyeing the lead role in Angelina Jolie’s next directorial effort, the ivory poaching drama ‘Africa.’
Penned by Eric Roth, the drama tells the story of world-renowned Kenyan paleo-archaeologist Richard Leakey who led a movement to end elephant and rhino poaching in Africa in the 1980s.
“I’ve felt a deep connection to Africa and its culture for much of my life, and was taken with Eric’s beautiful script about a man drawn into the violent conflict with elephant poachers who emerged with a deeper understanding of man’s footprint and a profound sense of responsibility for the world around him,” said Jolie in a statement last September.
David Ellison and Dana Goldberg of Skydance Productions are producing, alongside Jon Peters and Jolie.
