Zac Efron joins Nicholas Sparks adaptation
Zac Efron has signed up to play a marine in the latest Nicholas Sparks adaptation The Lucky One.
The movie follows a man who survives three tours of Iraq and counts his good fortune down to a photograph of an unknown woman he carries around with him. Upon his returns, he attempts to track down the mystery woman.
Scott Hicks is attached to helm the movie based on a script by Will Fetters.
Other novels adapted from the works of Sparks include The Notebook, Dear John and The Last Song.
