Romantic comedy swaps out its female lead.
Evan Rachel Wood (‘The Ides of March’) has nabbed the female lead in Gil Junger’s ‘10 Things I Hate About Life,’ replacing Hayley Atwell (‘Captain America: The First Avenger’) who was previously set to star.
The Los Angeles-set film is not a sequel to Junger’s 1999 film ’10 Things I Hate About You’ starring Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, rather a romantic comedy about a young man and woman who meet while each is attempting to commit suicide, and they find in each other some great reasons to keep on living.
Production begins shortly in LA so expect to hear a male lead being announced soon. Andrew Lazar (‘I Love You Phillip Morris,’ ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,’ ‘10 Things I Hate About You’) will produce.
