Father-son pair Will and Jaden Smith to co-star in sci-fi adventure film.
Deadline reports that Will Smith has joined son Jaden Smith in M. Night Shyamalan’s untitled futuristic science fiction adventure film. The father and son previously starred together in 2006’s ‘The Pursuit of Happyness.’
The movie previously titled ‘One Thousand A.E.,’ takes place far in the future where a young boy navigates an abandoned and sometimes scary Earth to save himself and his estranged father after their ship crashes.
Shyamalan said:”The chance to make a scary, science-fiction film starring Jaden and Will is my dream project.”
Shymalan co-wrote the movie with Gary Whitta (‘The Book of Eli’). The movie will be produced by Overbrook, the production company Smith runs with James Lassiter, Ken Stovitz and Jada Pinkett Smith.
