WARCRAFT Adds Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel Toby Kebbell, and Rob Kazinsky

Videogame adaptation fills out lead roles…

Legendary Entertainment and Universal Pictures have announced that Ben Foster (‘Lone Survivor,’ ‘Ain’t Them Bodies Saints’), Toby Kebbell (‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,’ ‘The East’), Travis Fimmel (‘Vikings,’ ‘The Baytown Outlaws’), and Rob Kazinsky (‘Pacific Rim,’ ‘True Blood’) are set to take lead roles in the videogame adaptation ‘Warcraft,’ with Dominic Cooper (‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ ‘Need for Speed’) also in negotiations for a role.

With Duncan Jones behind the camera, and Paula Patton (‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’) co-starring, the fantasy/adventure is based on Blizzard Entertainment’s award-winning role-playing videogame franchise ‘World of Warcraft’ which feature a medieval-like settings where players control avatars that take on gryphons, dragons, zombies, werewolves and elves. Plot and character details for the adaptation remain under wraps.

Principal photography is scheduled to commence early 2014 with Jones helming from a screenplay by Charles Leavitt (‘Blood Diamond’).

Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni of Legendary Pictures are producing the project with Blizzard, and Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Alex Gartner.
