Will Viggo Mortensen lead Dark Towers
Director Ron Howard is eyeing Viggo Mortensen to lead in his movie adaptation of ‘The Dark Tower’.
Howard is to turn Stephen King’s book into a three-part movie adaptation and is keen for the ‘Lord of the Rings’ actor to take on the lead role of Roland Deschain.
The ‘Dark Tower’ is a seven-volume fantasy epic involving parallel worlds, meta-textual references, evil supercomputers, Spaghetti Western tropes, unstoppable bad guys, and an unattainable target at the end of a long and arduous quest in the shape of the titular tower.
Other actors in line for Mortensen’s role include Hugh Jackman and Jon Hamm.
