UP breaks Pixars Irish record

UP becomes the biggest Disney/Pixar movie to date

In just three weeks, ‘UP’ has sold enough tickets to become the biggest ever Disney/Pixar movie at the Irish box office.

Forget talking toys, cooking rats and scary monsters, it took the charms of an old age pensioner in a floating house to get the public into cinemas.

Grossing €4,093,471 at the Irish box office is now the 5th biggest animated film ever released in Ireland.

From its screening as the first animated film to open the Cannes Film Festival, to the massive box office success in the US ($292.5 million) which makes it the second biggest Pixar film over there, UP has achieved fantastically positive reviews and word of mouth from audiences of all ages.
