Trailer Talk 127 Hours

Check out the first trailer Danny Boyle’s latest flick 127 Hours

After cleaning up at the Oscars last year, Danny Boyle returns to the director’s chair for 127 HOURS.

Now the director is trackling the story of Aron Ralston, the famed mountain climber who amputated his own arm to free himself after being trapped by a boulder for nearly five days.

James Franco is tackling the role of the amputee survivor with Boyle (Trainspotting, The Beach, 28 Days Later, Sunshine and Slumdog Millionaire) explaining. “We want it to be a challenge for you guys as well… to see if you can watch it,”. In the first look post, Boyle said “you will want him to cut off his arm by the end.”

As well as Franco, the cast includes Lizzy Caplan, Kate Mara, Amber Tamblyn and the lovely Clémence Poésy.

Unlike other films of the adventure genre such as Touching The Void or even Gerry, Boyle packs the trailer full of vibrant colours, kinetic energey and – as always – snappy musical choices. Check it out and have your say on Boyle’s latest below!
