Marvel toons up thunder god Thor for TV series
Before the release of the long gestated Thor movie, it looks like Marvel Comics’ Thor will be coming to the small screen as an animated series.
The plot of the series will find Thor defending his home of Asgard “against fantastical villains, fiendish hordes, winged creatures and angry giants.” Moving through multiple worlds the show will feature such characters as Balder the Brave, the Warriors Three and Thor’s evil adopted brother, Loki.
Marvel Animation is reportedly putting together “a 26 half-hour episode series based on its long-running comic book.” The idea is for the series to bow in the autumn of 2010.
Marvel’s big screen version of Thor will hit theatres in 2010.
