KICK-ASS 2 finally hits Irish cinemas this week, and we are very excited about Chloë Grace Moretz reprising the foul-mouthed role of Hit Girl. Such is our excitement that we needed to know more about the actress, so we’ve pulled together ten things you need to know about Chloë Grace Moretz.
Moretz prefers to be called Chloë Grace, not just Chloë.

When she first played the foul-mouthed, violent vigilante Hit Girl, Chloë Grace Moretz was just 11 years old.
…She said if she ever said any of the words from the film at home, she would be grounded for years.
Also in 2010, Chloë Grace Moretz played a vampire child in LET ME IN, the remake of the Swedish film, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN.
…Not bad for the girl who voice acted in 31 episodes of MY FRIENDS TIGGER & POOH.
Chloë Grace voiced the entire character of Penny in Bolt before Disney hired Miley Cyrus to do the part.

Moretz’s breakout role was in THE AMITYVILLE HORROR, but due to her young age, she was not allowed to see the movie at the premiere.

Chloë Grace is known for playing darker roles. At New York Comic-Con, she said this is because her home life is so supportive, that it challenges her to play the more messed up characters.

After Jim Carrey publicly denounced KICK-ASS 2 for it’s violence, Moretz jumped to the film’s defence, saying “It’s a movie and it’s fake, and I’ve known that since I was a kid…I don’t want to run around trying to kill people and cuss. If anything, these movies teach you what not to do”

Chloë Grace next appears in the remake of CARRIE, which is released in Irish cinemas later this year
