Teen Wolf TV show remake for MTV in 2010

I used to be a werewolf, but I’m not one noooowwwwwwwwww

Earlier this year MTV announced the return of Teen Wolf, the 1985 film that starred Michael J. Fox as a hairier than usual teenager. The music channel (that doesn’t play music anymore) began work on the pilot episode this week, written by ‘Criminal Minds’ creator Jeff Davis.

Liz Gateley VP of MTV series development promises “A fresh take” and an approach that is “very different from the original… It has more of an ‘American Werewolf in Paris’ feel to it. It’s a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the center who provide a great comedy element. They are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques”

MTV is also developing a US version of the Channel 4 teen drama ‘Skins’.
Other 80’s projects getting updates for 2010 include ‘Parenthood’, ‘V’, ‘St Elmo’s Fire’ and ‘Heathers’.
