Spielberg Jackson greeting footage for Movie Fest

Exclusive footage from TINTIN will be shown at Ireland’s new cinema event, introduced on screen by Steven Spielberg & Peter Jackson

One of the most talked about pieces of footage from this years San Diego Comic Con was from ‘The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’. We’re delighted to announce that Ireland’s new cinema event, Movie Fest has got its hands on this exclusive footage that has never been seen before outside of San Diego. The exclusive Tintin footage will be introduced by producers/directors Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson via a video greeting. 

The film, directed by Spielberg himself, uses performance-captured animation perfected by Peter Jackson’s Weta studio in New Zealand. 

The hugely anticipated movie stars Andy Serkis, Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, and is written by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who), Edgar Wright (Spaced) and Joe Cornish.

Other announcements for Movie Fest include full screenings of big blockbusters, not out yet in cinemas, including Cowboys & Aliens, The Change-UP, 30 Minutes or Less and Colin Farrell’s Fright Night.
Cult producer Guillermo Del Toro has recorded an exclusive greeting for Irish fans, which will be played before footage from his new movie ‘Dont Be Afraid Of The Dark’.
Other preview footage showing over the weekend includes new clips from Aardman Studios, The Amazing Spider-Man, Total Recall, Anonymous, Moneyball and LOTS more to be announced.
