Zack Snyder turns from Watchmen to Superman…
Zack Snyder is the confirmed director of the next Christopher Nolan-produced Superman movie.
The Watchmen filmmaker was recently revealed to be on a shortlist of potential Superman directors . The list included such names as Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler), Duncan Jones (Moon), Ben Affleck (The Town) and Matt Reeves (Cloverfield).
Speaking to Deadline about his appointment on the Warner Bros comic book film, Snyder said: “I’ve been a big fan of the character for a long time, he’s definitely the king of all superheroes, he’s the one.
“It’s early yet, but I can tell you that what David (Goyer, screenwriter) and Chris have done with the story so far definitely has given me a great insight into a way to make him feel modern. I’ve always felt he was kind of awesome.”
