‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’ and ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’ writer-director Scott Derrickson has closed a deal to take the directing reigns on the paranormal police thriller ‘Beware the Night,’
Set in a paranormal world, the story follows “a New York police officer investigating real life demon possessions, exorcisms and werewolves after dark.”
According to TheWrap, the lead was offered to Mark Wahlberg but the actor passed on the project.
Derrickson’s latest offering, the low-budget horror thriller ‘Sinister’ starring Ethan Hawke, is scheduled to hit Irish cinemas in October.
