Ensemble comedy secures two more.
Jon Favreau has revealed that Scarelett Johansson (‘Avengers Assemble’) and Dustin Hoffman (‘The Contortionist’s Handbook’) have joined the cast of ‘Chef,’ the filmmaker’s upcoming indie comedy that will also star Robert Downey Jr, Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo, and Bobby Cannavale.
‘Chef’ is the story of Carl Casper (Favreau), who loses his chef job at a top Los Angeles restaurant and starts up a food truck to reclaim his artistic promise and reclaiming his estranged family.
Filming on the indie comedy is underway in Los Angeles with Karen Gilchrist (‘Cowboys & Aliens,’ ‘Iron Man 2’) and Aldamisa Entertainment’s Sergei Bespalov producing.
