Wu-Tang Clan front man-turned-actor/director RZA (‘The Man with the Iron Fists’) has closed a deal to join Paul Walker (‘Fast & Furious 6’) in ‘Brick Mansions,’ the Americanized remake of 2004 French action movie ‘District B13.’
Set in Chicago, the film sees Walker playing Damien, an undercover cop chasing a weapon of mass destruction that was stolen by a drug warlord (played by RZA) in the ghetto known as Brick Mansions.
David Belle, who starred in ‘District D13,’ and Gouchy Boy (‘Cosmopolis,’ ‘Max Payne’) co-star.
‘Brick Mansions’ is currently in production in Montreal, Quebec under the direction of Camille Delamarre, a protégé of Luc Besson.
