Comedian Ross Noble is coming to Dublin for Movie Fest
Movie Fest taking place in Dublin this weekend on Sept 8th & 9th will screen six brand new movies, none of which have opened in Irish cinemas. We’re delighted to announce that Conor McMahon’s new movie STITCHES will premiere at Movie Fest, and that comedian ROSS NOBLE will attend the screening and partake in a Q+A afterwards. Other movies showing at Movie Fest over the weekend include Looper, Premium Rush, Paranorman and two mystery movies each day.
More about Stitches Described as a cross between ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’ and ‘The Inbetweeners’, Stitches is a comedy/horror that follows follows Richard ‘Stitches’ Grindle (played by Ross Noble), a kid’s birthday party clown, who has a fatal accident at the hands of a group of particularly nasty children and who years later comes back to exact his revenge on the now teenagers as one of them celebrates their 16th birthday. The movie will open nationwide on October 26th 2012.
More about Ross Noble Ross is a truly exciting, genuinely original performer and has received huge critical acclaim. He is a former Perrier Award nominee, Barry Award, and Time Out award winner for best live stand-up, and has won a shed load of other prestigious awards and nominations. Since August 1999 Ross has unveiled a new show each year, following that years classic Perrier award nominated ‘Laser Boy’, with ‘Chickenmaster‘ (2000 – 2001), ‘Slackers Playtime‘ (2001 – 2002), ‘Sonic Waffle‘ (2002 – 2003), ‘Unrealtime‘ (2003 – 2004), ‘Noodlemeister‘ (2004 – 2005), ‘Randomist‘ (2005-2006), ‘Fizzy Logic’ (2006 – 2007) and ‘Nobleism’ (2007).
Each year and each show has seen Noble’s live following grow to the point where he has been the best-selling show at both the Edinburgh Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival on more than one occasion. His shows have transferred to London and Sydney each year since 2003 and venues have grown in size to accommodate his ever-growing audience.
Ross Noble is now perhaps the most successful cult comedian of our time, with a loyal fanbase derived largely from the ‘word-of-mouth’ recommendations of those having seen him perform live.
