Director set to return to live-action.

Robert Zemeckis is set to make the airplane drama ‘Flight’ his next directorial effort, reports 24 Frames. The movie will mark the director’s first live-action movie since 2000s ‘Castaway’ starring Tom Hanks.

Denzel Washington is close to signing a deal to star in the drama, which centers on a pilot who is hailed a hero after rescuing his passengers from a dangerous situation, but who turns out not to be as heroic as he appears, as his negligence, due to an addiction, was partly responsible for the danger in the first place.

According to the blog’s two sources, the movie is set to begin production in the fall
