Director Zemeckis to helm Yellow Submarine remake
Robert Zemeckis is in talks to direct a remake of animated Beatles movie Yellow Submarine.
According to reports, the House of Mouse is close to making a deal to pick up the music rights for the film, which includes songs such as ‘Eleanor Rigby’, ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’, ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’ and ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’.
Released at the height of the bands popularity, Yellow Submarine followed the Beatles as the journeyed with Captain Fred to Pepperland in order to free it from the Blue Meanies.
