Heat Vision reports that Robert De Niro (‘Silver Linings Playbook’) and Shia LaBeouf (‘The Company You Keep’) are set to play real-life father-son spy duo in ‘Spy’s Kid,’ a ‘Catch Me If You Can’-style thriller to be directed by D.J. Caruso (‘Eagle Eye,’ ‘Distubia’).
Based on a six-part series of articles by The Oregonian’s Bryan Denson, the story follows Jim Nicholson, a CIA vet who is convicted of spying and enlists his son, Nathan, to continue his espionage work from behind bars.
The film will be produced by Raymond Brothers and Scott Glassgold of IAM Entertainment. The producers are now on the hunt for a scribe to pen the script.
