Micro-budget sci-fi gets director.

British director Ringan Ledwidge (‘Gone’) has been tapped to direct the micro-budget sci-fi thriller ‘Glimmer’ for DreamWorks and producers Mark Sourian and Adam Kolbrenner.

Scripted by Carter Blanchard, the story follows “a group of teens who discover a portal to the past. When one of them changes history, the effects start to snowball with tragic consequences.”

Production is scheduled to start early 2013 with Jonathan Eirich overseeing the project for DreamWorks.
