Richard Madden, best known for playing Robb Stark in the hit series ‘Game of Thrones,’ has been cast as the Prince in Disney’s upcoming live-action ‘Cinderella.’
The Scottish actor joins a cast that includes Lily James (‘Downton Abbey’) as the titular princess, and Cate Blanchett, who is set to play the evil stepmother.
Scripted Aline Brosh McKenna (‘The Devil Wears Prada’) and Chris Weitz (‘A Better Life’), the retelling has Kenneth Branagh in the director’s chair. An official start date has yet to be announced.
