Liotta joins multi-generational drama.
Variety reports that Ray Liotta (‘Youth in Revolt,’ ‘Goodfellas’) will be joining Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Greta Gerwig and Ben Mendelsohn for Derek Cianfrance’s ‘A Place Beyound the Pines.’
The movie follows a pro motorcycle rider (Gosling) who starts robbing banks to support his newborn son – until he crosses paths with a determined young cop (Cooper). Liotta will play a fierce, crooked officer on the force.
The tone of multi-generational drama penned by Cianfrance and Ben Coccio (‘The Beginner’), is being compared to the likes of ‘The Deer Hunter’ and ‘Goodfellas.
