Mike Finch and Alex Litvak are attached to write Masters of the Universe.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Predators screenwriters have been hired to pen a film.
The toy line was adapted as an animated series in the 1980s and as a film starring Dolph Lundgren in 1987.
Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch will produce the picture.
