John August attached to Sam Mendes’ “Revolutionary Road”
The newly resurrected film version of the comic book “Preacher” has found a screenwriter, and it’s someone who is familiar with adapting comic books for the screen.
According to Entertainment Weekly’s Hollywood Insider blog, writer-director John August will script “Preacher” for “Revolutionary Road” director Sam Mendes.
August is a frequent collaborator of Tim Burton’s, having scripted “Big Fish,” “Corpse Bride,” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” for him. August also wrote and directed “The Nines,” and scripted the two Charlie’s Angels films.
