Peter Jackson is reportedly bringing Philip Reeve’s Mortal Engines fantasy novels to the big screen.
Reeve’s four steampunk-inspired Engines books are set in a post-apocalyptic world where cities become vehicles and must consume each other to survive.
Jackson’s Weta effects studio has allegedly been crafting designs for the adaptation, which features giant floating cities.
A spokesman for Jackson refused to confirm or deny the project’s development, saying that “any comment should come from Peter”.
