Star would be joining Cruise, Blunt and Riley.
Variety is reporting that Bill Paxton (‘2 Guns,’ ‘Hatfields & McCoys’) is in negotiations to take a role alongside Tom Cruise in the Warner Bros. sci-fi actioner ‘All You Need Is Kill.’
With Doug Liman attached to direct, the project is based on Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s graphic novel and follows a soldier (Cruise) who, “despite being killed in the first day of an intergalactic alien invasion of Earth, is continually resurrected to fight and die again and again. On the 158th iteration though, he sees something different, something out of place: the female soldier known as the Bitch of War. Is the Bitch the key to the soldier’s escape, or to his final death?”
According to the trade, Paxton is eyeing the role of Cruise’s platoon leader. Emily Blunt and Charlotte Riley are set to co-star. Production kicks off in London in the autumn.
