Paul Walker Leads HITMAN Reboot AGENT 47

Walker to lead the rebooted videogame adaptation.

‘Fast & Furious 6’ star Paul Walker is set to take over the role of the nameless Agent 47 in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming reboot of ‘Hitman,’ reports Deadline.

Titled ‘Agent 47,’ the will be directed by Aleksander Bach, a commercials director who will making his feature directorial debut on the project, and will be written by Michael Finch and Skip Woods (‘A Good Day To Die Hard,’ ‘Hitman’).

Production is scheduled to begin in June with filming to take place in Berlin and Singapore.

French helmer Xavier Gens directed an adaptation of Square Enix’s hugely popular videogame back in 2007 with Timothy Olyphant (‘Justified’) portraying the genetically engineered lethal assassin who has a barcode (640509-040147) tattooed on the back of his head. The film failed to impress critics and earned just under $100 million worldwide.

‘Agent 47’ will be produced by Chuck Gordon, Alex Young, and Adrian Askarieh, with Daniel Alter serving as executive producer.
