Film to shoot this autumn.

Paramount Pictures has reportedly set screenwriter-turned-helmer Christopher Landon (‘Burning Palms,’ ‘Disturbia’) to direct the Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki’s 2010 Black List script ‘Boy Scouts Vs. Zombies.’

According to Deadline, Landon will take a director’s pass on the script that follows “a troop of Boy Scouts on their weekend camping trip who must protect an island town from a zombie outbreak and save the local Girl Scout troop.

Todd Garner is on board to produce the project via his Broken Road Productions banner with Andy Fickman and Betsy Sullenger of Oops Doughnuts, and Bryan Brucks and his Brucks Entertainment.

‘Boy Scouts Vs. Zombies’ will serve as Landon’s follow-up to ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones,’ which is scheduled for release early 2014. The scribe has long being involved with the ‘Paranormal Activity’ franchise having served as writer on the third and fourth instalments of the horror franchise, and co-writing the second chapter.
