Olivia Wilde and Russell Crowe Join RUSH

Formula One drama lands Wilde, eyes Crowe for small role.

Olivia Wilde (‘Cowboys & Aliens,’ ‘Tron: Legacy’) has landed the role of 1970s supermodel Suzy Miller in the Ron Howard-directed ‘Rush.’

Penned by Peter Morgan, the Formula One drama follows the rivalry between three-time champion Niki Lauda (played by Daniel Bruhl) and his good friend and fellow competitor James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth).

Miller fell in love with and married the handsome, womanizing Hunt, but Miller soon fell in love with Hunt’s actor pal, Richard Burton. Hunt and Burton famously negotiated a “transfer” of assets, with Burton paying the $1 million divorce settlement that Hunt owed Miller. Burton and Miller were married shortly after.

Deadline adds that Howard is looking to cast his ‘A Beautiful Mind’ star Russell Crowe to play the small role of Burton.
