The Muppets returns for Christmas 2011
The next Muppets movie will be released on Christmas Day, 2011.
The film, which carries the working title The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made, will be the seventh to feature Jim Henson’s puppet creations. Little is known of the script however Jason Segel has penned the screenplay and he will also front the cast. Flight Of The Conchords director James Bobin is on board to helm the movie.
The Christmas release will put the comedy in competition with Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn and Cameron Crowe’s We Bought A Zoo, which both open two days earlier on December 23.
