Kevin Tancharoen (‘Mortal Kombat: Legacy,’ ‘Fame’) has closed a deal to take the director’s chair for the ‘Christmas Carol’ inspired action thriller ‘The Guns Of Christmas Past,’ says Deadline.
Featuring a script by Andrew Hilton, the film revolves around “a retired hitman who returns to Chicago on Christmas Eve to avenge the death of his friend. During his mission, he must fight his way past three unlikely adversaries from his past, present, and future. In the process, he finds out who he really is.”
Zev Foreman (‘Dallas Buyers Club’) and Nicolas Chartier (‘The Hurt Locker’) of Voltage Pictures are producing, with Voltage’s Babacar Diene overseeing development.
