Deadline has word that model-turned-actress Zoe Aggeliki has entered into “serious talks” for a pivotal role in ‘The Hunger Games’ sequel, ‘Catching Fire.’
‘Sucker Punch’ actress Jena Malone is also believed to be in the mix for the part, that of Johanna Mason, an “axe-wielding, deceptive and ruthless winner of a previous Hunger Games.
Mia Wasikowska was previously rumoured for the role of Mason, but the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ star’s reps denied her involvement.
Aggeliki has roles in a number of upcoming projects, Franck Khalfoun’s slasher horror ‘Maniac;’ ‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters;’ and the Robert Schwentke-directed action comedy ‘R.I.P.D.’
